I have never repudiated
one word...

Not a quote from me. The first sentence is a misquote
of something I said in my last Communion Letter,
when they were being especially mean to me.
However, I don't think that much of the abduction phenomenon, as reported in
UFOlogy, is accurately described. The letters I get from people are just too
far from the post-hypnosis accounts. I suspect that people are being hypnotized
into repeating back the investigators' theories, especially in the case of much
of Budd Hopkins' and David Jacobs' work.
However, I NEVER said that I thought the experience is fiction. Far from it,
the experience is damn real. We just don't know what causes it, but that cause
is certainly outside of the mind of the witness. It is not self-generated hallucination.
As far as aliens being the cause--I wouldn't be a bit surprised. But that has
not been proved.
I have never repudiated one word of any of my close-encounter books or called
them fiction. This claim comes from a stupid misreading of the foreword I wrote
to Ken Ring's book, The Omega Project. Please feel free to post this
as widely as possible.
